Dignity International and the Alternative ASEAN Network on Burma will be co-organising a forum entitled "New Happenings in Burma: Excitement for Change?". The session will be held on Friday, 23rd March 2012, evening at the Dignity International Secretariat/office in Petaling Jaya Malaysia.

In the light of recent events since the last election in Burma, we have invited friends who are working directly in the human rights scene in Burma to exchange views and engage with the public after the forum to get a clearer picture of reality on the grounds.

The panel of speakers are:

1. Ms Debbie Stothard, coordinator of the Alternative ASEAN Network on Burma,
2. YB (MP) Nurul Izzah, member of ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Myanmar Caucus, and
3. Representatives from the Burmese grassroots.
