| Community Organizing for Land Rights |

From the 4th to the 7th July, Dignity International was invited to the Orang Asli (Indigenous Peoples) Workshop on Community Organizing for Land Rights in Ipoh, Malaysia. Organized by JKOAP and SPNS, this workshop brought together 50 people from 20 villages to utilize the interactive sessions and discuss on the reality of land rights, along with its impact on indigenous communities.
Dignity International’s executive director, Jerald Joseph, was invited to co-facilitate the sessions with Tijah Chopil from JKOAP. The workshop sought to develop and enhance skills on community organizing, and community based organizations working on land rights of indigenous peoples. |
